#MemberMonday: Siouxland Community Foundation

How many years has your business been in Siouxland? We were established in 1988.

What services do you offer? The Siouxland Community Foundation is a trusted organization that connects people who care with cases that matter by providing a means to receive gifts and distribute grants in response to community needs.

How many years has your business been a member of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce? We’ve been a member for almost 25 years – since 1995.

What do you enjoy most about being a Chamber member? The Chamber offers a plethora of resources including the ability to post jobs when we need to connect with the business community. We also enjoy Rush Hour Connect events that allow us to mingle with other Chamber members and the community educational sessions they provide.

What is your favorite Chamber event/memory? We enjoyed the Chamber annual meeting with keynote speaker Robert O’Neil.

What is a fun or surprising fact about your business? The Siouxland Community Foundation (SCF) awarded $1.880 million in grants from over 200 funds in 2017. The Community Foundation’s total assets under administration grew to over $26 million in 2017. Over $3,047,000 in charitable gifts were made by donors to community foundation funds. SCF invested $105,000 in initiatives and opportunities strengthening Siouxland through two leadership grants: Grade Level Reading and the Capacity Building Initiative.
