Legislative Advocacy

The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce works with local, state and federal elected officials on pro-business policy issues and initiatives that move our region forward.

The guiding document for the Siouxland Chamber's state of Iowa legislative work is our legislative agenda. The Government Relations Committee, along with the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, develops the legislative agenda and designates positions as Chamber "priorities".

The Siouxland Chamber initiates a number of opportunities to connect our member businesses with our elected leaders at a variety of events during the year including bi-weekly Government Relations meetings during the Iowa legislative session, annual Des Moines Legislative Day and our Annual Siouxland/Washington Conference.
