When it comes to Art and Entertainment, Siouxland
has something for everyone.

Take in the sights of local and international artists at the Sioux City Art Center or spend the day browsing booths at annual art and craft fairs.

Avid theatre enthusiasts may choose anything from local dinner theatres to touring Broadway productions, spending an evening at the latest in movie attraction or attending an outdoor Shakespeare play.

If music is what you have in mind, then Siouxland is the place to be. The Sioux City Symphony offers a diverse concert course featuring renowned artists from around the world. Outdoor concerts range from concert bands to rock bands, patriotic to reggae, band shells to dance clubs.

Broadway Series
Each year, Broadway at the Orpheum brings some of the world’s most exciting theatrical productions to Sioux City.

Grandview Park
Grandview Park plays host to many of Siouxland’s outdoor concert events, weddings and relaxing visits.  The park has a natural amphitheater with a unique Band Shell that sets the stage for major music festivals, band concerts and special events.

Long Lines Family Rec Center
The Long Lines Family Rec Center has many areas available for rent including meeting rooms, sport courts, batting cages, and the area’s only climbing wall.

Orpheum Theatre
In 2001, the Orpheum Theatre celebrated its re-opening after a two-year restoration.  Since the grand re-opening, the theatre has provided the Siouxland area with performances by fabulous entertainers like Bill Cosby, Sheryl Crow, BB King, Bob Dylan, Wynton Marsalis, David Copperfield, Willie Nelson, Jewel, Alison Kraus, and Jerry Seinfeld.  Also, thousands have witnessed spectacular Broadway shows and enjoy hearing the Sioux City Symphony.

Sioux City Art Center
The Art Center exhibits feature internationally famous, as well as local artists.  The center includes a 131-seat lecture hall, Atrium Gift Gallery and a meeting room with a terrace and kitchen facilities. The hands-on children’s gallery offers a fun atmosphere for children in which basic elements of art can be explored through interactive stations. Classes are offered for preschool age children through senior citizens.

Sioux City Community Theatre
The Sioux City Community Theatre has provided quality, live theatrical productions in Siouxland since 1948.  Along with Main Stage productions, the Sioux City Community Theatre produces several children’s shows through their Youth Theatre company, which exposes Siouxland children to classes, workshops, productions and skill-building opportunities.

Sioux City Symphony
The Sioux City Symphony Orchestra has been a dominant force in the cultural life of Sioux City and the surrounding tri-state area.  It has evolved from a 30-piece college ensemble to a 90-member professional orchestra with an artistic ability unrivaled by metropolitan orchestras of comparable size.  The Sioux City Syphony is truly a regional orchestra, drawing its personnel and audience from within a 90-mile radius of Sioux City.  Many of the orchestra’s musicians are from nearby educational institutions.

Tyson Events Center
The 10,000-seat Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena is home of the Sioux City Musketeers, Sioux City Bandits Indoor Football, and hosts a large number of concerts and sporting events.
